Hello all… I hope you’re doing great? Me, too! Well… I have two things to share in this post. A movie, and a logo. UPDATE: I didn’t like the previous colour, so here’s a better version.
Last evening I watched “Goats,” sort of an indie movie. It’s different, a bit weird. I kept snapping my fingers trying to remember where else I saw the “mother,” played by actress Vera Farmiga. When I googled her, I realized she played opposite George Cloony as supporting actress in “Up in the Air.” This actress is so talented; she should get an Oscar!
New look: The Botanical, Multi-surface Karboojeh
OK, as for the logo.
I have recently been experimenting with new mediums other than jewelry. I think jewelry to me was like the “founding” phase, getting me into the handcrafts world, and opening up new knowledge and interests along the way.
A few months ago I started playing with water color and old book pages, and ink. This came almost at the same time as I was applying different techniques to paint on fabric. I basically experimented with stenciling, free-hand, and stamping, until I found my medium, and my style. I obviously prefer freehand to stamping and geometry. I also found that my heart is in the botanical world. I tried everything from stenciling keys, to roosters and chickens, and spoons, and forks… but then I found myself, both on paper and fabric, going the botanical way.
Since I will be working on different surfaces, and my work will not be limited to handmade work only (design is kicking in, too, with mechanical ways to produce my designs). I decided it was time to re-brand, and come up with a logo that captured this multi-surface, botanical concept I talked about.
Here it is… the logo. The new logo.

I basically used a photographed section from one of my watercolor/acrylic/ink illustrations, on a background of a self-help book.
More news to come your way re Karboojeh new products, with more specifications on where and when. Take care!
